Glynyarra Beacon - Fast approaching his 29th Birthday.
7th March 1989 - 8th April 2018 Welsh Mountain Pony - Section A 11.3 & 3/4HH (official measurement) Chestnut with Blaze, four white socks and belly splashes.
Beacon is a stunning true Welsh Mountain Pony. He combines lots of bone, lovely straight legs, extreme knee and hock action and correct conformation. He has a brilliant temperament, and a great working attitude and is as at home in the showring or working cattle as he is giving riding lessons to children or running with his mares and foals.
Beacon is a multi Supreme Champion in hand and under saddle in Welsh, Australian Saddle Pony and Open classes. His showring career has spanned most of his life. Proving himself yet again, when bought out of 9 years retirement, only three months shy of his 20th birthday Beacon won both his Mountain & Moorland and Open Led classes then went onto be Reserve Champion Open Pony. After recently making contact with Beacon's first owner on from his breeder we were thrilled to find out Beacon was a Multi Supreme Champion winner against some pretty serious competition and Leah who started Beacon under saddle herself won Young Rider of The Year in 1993 and then went on with the help of Beacon and won a $20,000 riders scholarship.
Beacon stamps his stock with his amazing overall true Welsh type, infusing bone, conformation, movement and versatility into wonderful packages. His babies all display his workman like but sensible and trainable temperament which make them able to excell in whatever field chosen. Below are just a few of his wonderful, versatile, show winning offspring. Other show winners include O.P Abbey, O.P Spirit, O.P Yasmine and unregistered offspring Ke'ala & Ayasha.
